Yes, I agree there were lots of stories that could have been told, but unfortunately we were operating on Colonial time and using the Colonial clock for moving throughout the day. There was no word for time or clock in the Abenaki Language and so our ancestors came up with a word for clock. Papulkweezultozik which means “that thing which makes much noise but does nothing at all of any real use.” Good luck with your language program.
